microswitches are like $0.05 or less in large quantities, I don't think you can find an LED/phototransistor pair cheaper than that.

I think the preview has been there for a little while. I like that feature. The div zooming by 120% seems new, and I am not fond of it.

that's exactly the problem - when the model and the scene doesn't reflect reality, the whole thing breaks down. Perception and modeling is everything, policy is nearly trivial in comparison, until you get to L4+

Exactly - Delta had a reputation for being both prolific and extremely virulent. Long COVID, loss of smell & taste, heart and lung problems, etc. A terrible illness. Omicron seems to carry far fewer of those risks from what data we have

It's not just velocity, it's angular accuracy. In other words, where are we pointing? When you're course correcting, it's more like "steer this way" or "steer that way", not "dammit we're no

Was just thinking this. You can take one of these golden rulers and place it on nearly anything, roughly adjust it to size, and find a "match" somewhere in the image.

The article is thinking about mining in the wrong way. Mining is the reason that the price of bitcoin didn't collapse over the last few bear cycles. The raw energy cost to mine bitcoin (coupled with investor FOMO & buy-the-dip ment

Bingo - I’m likely planning on returning my 16” for a 14”. After using the M1 air for the past year, the 16” just feels too big. But even with a 14 day return policy, Apple cant just turn around and sell this as new. I have seen a few open

It really boils down to this: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. If it is broken, and no one else seems to see that it’s broken, then it’s your job to convince everyone else that it’s broken so that “fixing it” becomes part of the The Goal.

Ad fraud = ban, it’s not much more complicated than that. It’s trivial to make a new developer account and release similar products, so as an App Store you can do things like looking for similarities between new apps and banned apps to root

These days I often find myself going to eBay for when I need the best price on a commodity item. You can't easily find a 50 pack of CR2032 batteries on Amazon, on eBay it's easy. I think what ruined Amazon was 1 day shipping - the
