Wouldn't something like v2ray helps? How did you post on HN btw?

What evil things? (honest question) I was burned by the CentOS shenanigans but I'm not aware of anything else. And my beef with CentOS is the way they handled it, if they had left me enough time to migrate my servers we'd still be

It doesn't take that long but you can't just press a button and be done. Look at James Hoffman on Youtube he demonstrates "the right way" to do it.

As long as you can't definitively prove it's harmless, I'd rather avoid the stuff if at all possible. For example there was a time when publicity recommending cigarettes to pregnant women was a thing.

Look for a Chemex or a V60 (the non plstic one). But it will involve a bit of labor.

Sometimes I feel like a space alien: I didn't watch an add since 2008 when I divorced and didn't need a TV any more. I'd rather not use a service than to get adds. The day YouTube stops me from using an adblocker I'm goi

If only I could have this for mobile. There are quite a few open source replication solutions on server, but on mobile I didn't find anything.

The ancient tribes did better because when they didn't, people died of starvation. Pretty big incentive here. Nobody died from the UEFI custom image vulnerability.

I have a 4 Cores Intel i3 13100 and I can't reach these low numbers. The machine idle with just 1 nvme is 16 watts. I managed to go to 12 watts with the powersaver mode in tuned but I have random ssh freezes and I didn't find any

I don't think it represents a lot of people, Apple high end offering is absolutely unaffordable for most of us. If you can afford a max specced M3 you can also afford 2 RTX 4090 which should theoretically be faster.

I don't know Erlang so take it with a grain of salt, but maybe take a look at the CouchDB code base? It's a NoSQL DB written in Erlang. I looked at it a few years ago, its master to master replication seemed cool.

Client side encryption can be weakened (by a well placed "bug" for example) as to render it irrelevant.

Being a WPF dev, I like Avalonia but it doesn't even have a rich text box, so it's not as useful as it could be. They have a WPF compatibility thing but it's "enterprise" overpriced.

I wonder how do you chop a finger with a stone "blade" without butchering the whole hand. And what about infections afterwards? I know ancient humans were quite hardier than us but I don't see how doing finger amputation with

How is the energy free? You have to buy the panels and you have to pay to dispose them. You also have to pay for the "accessories" like batteries, converters etc.

If Dropbox is all you need you might be satisfied with Syncthing. I have used it for a week now, it works well and I have the warm fuzzy feeling that nobody is using my data to make a few bucks (I'm self hosting it on a home server).

What makes me stay on KDE is the file manager (Dolphin), it's even better than the Windows one. I would be on Gnome otherwise, but its file manager is for people that don't actually manage files. It's quasi useless (at least
