Why do you find a nonstandard/large wheel problematic for bike touring? Just difficulty in finding replacement tires/tubes/etc?

What do you mean? The only objectionable content I see is a single mention of "little-squarists" [quotation marks included in original text], but that seems hardly enough of an insult to disregard the rest of the paper.

To Matthias, in case you do pop in to this thread: you've forgotten to set a character encoding for pages, so some browsers display gobbledygook instead of apostrophes. For example, on https://woodgears.ca/faq/vide

I somehow forgot to add the essential part of my comment. Sorry, here it is: If someone prefers a narrow tab width and breaks lines based on that, then someone who prefers a wide tab width will get overfull lines: 20 column limit, 2-c

This article seems misleading. It's conflating two independent events: -Cox is terminating accounts of individuals using excessive bandwidth. -Cox is limiting upload speed in certain neighborhoods. I don't see anything to suggest

"Why three prongs" is a classic, but it seems to have been submitted 11 months ago. I would suggest "[Nikola] Tesla's Big Mistake?"[1]. It's never been submitted, and I think single-wire power transmission woul

I have always loved this site. I wish there was a search engine that indexed only pages like these. Something that penalized pages with ads[1], and penalized larger sites. A search engine for the "personal" web. [1]: Not that I&#x

Have you checked for windows resonating? It would be surprising if walls were acting as a high-pass filter. Could also be electronic noise. I wonder what the machine is.

That it automatically downloaded a file is down to your browser, not the site. If you have "ask before downloading" (or similar) set, it'll prompt to download.

What browser are you using? It requires a click for me on Firefox. From a quick glance at the source I don't see anything that would automatically initiate a download.

Not really a solved problem. Even if you set your editor to display 1 tab as 2 columns, another person may set their editor to display 1 tab as >2 columns. So even using tabs, a project has to set rules for tab width.
