Is there also an added effort around making iOS work on the smaller screen size/resolution as well though? If they can standardise those, they might end up with an easier OS to maintain once the Mini (sadly) is no longer supported

If it's actually unsupported, it could be a bargain. Maybe OP should approach the company and offer to buy it, rights/source code etc, then build on top of that (it is doing what they want, even if barely...)

Anecdotal, but I got an uber in London recently (quite near the center) and the driver was complaining the whole trip about the fact that he needed to take a piss, and that there was a severe lack of public toilets.
