That's neat. Lots of broadcasters do something similar (display a number on the screen) when they are broadcasting sports events etc to detect streaming. I'd love to know how that works. Presumably they broadcast the same thing to

The documentary about him really opened my eyes. I had always viewed him as an eccentric but harmless, fairly smart guy. Then you find out he date-raped his research assistant (unless you think she randomly decided to make that up). He can

Weird, I have the 9550 and had the opposite support experience. It did have a couple of issues, but each time Dell had a guy out at my house the following day with replacement parts, no charge, no questions asked. I purchased the extended s

Yeah sorry, you're 100% correct. Lose your inhibitions is bad advice, my point was more to go to the social gatherings, make an effort to relax and talk to people. It's purely my own experience that alcohol helps with this, as I

They mentioned it in the commentary on an MGS1 speedrun video on Youtube. They use the PC version because it contains features (such as first person mode) which fundamentally break the game, as well as other bugs. I'll try and find it.

Fun fact, when Metal Gear Solid (1) was ported to PC, the work was done by a handful of people, and they didn't have access to the original resources so they found some of them on fan websites. Some of the audio files used in the relea

Not really, they are just showing off their library in a novel way. The author doesn’t even pretend that it’s going to produce an accurate result.

If all of these open source projects move from Github to Gitlab, won't Gitlab face the same business problems (ie. how do we make this profitable?)

It's similar to Bernie Madoff as well. Harry Markopolos spent years trying to warn people that he was running a ponzi scheme, and he was ignored until the whole thing finally blew up.

Will this work on the mobile versions of Chrome as well (Android, iOS, etc)? For iOS in particular, there doesn't seem to be any officially supported way to block ads.

Surely it will work on the Mac as well, right? As well as Android and iOS?

Yeah that seems to be baked into the HTML, then they run something client side (when the JS finally loads, took forever) to actually go and check.
