I imagine you just install Windows 10 ARM, join the insider program and run Windows Update? Is there anything more to it?

Nice, looks like it's installable on the M1 Mac as well if you are running Windows 10 via Parallels. Interestingly, there's a message which says: > Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your de

I had a similar feeling recently using Swift for a project. Pure JavaScript is definitely a bit too loose for my liking, but I thought Swift went a bit too far in the other direction.

Maybe I'm getting old, but it's mental to me that a regular SDD over SATA3 is now regarded as slow , and you need an NVME SSD to run things quickly. I have a gaming PC and really can't tell the difference between games loade

Is it abritary? I was wondering if limiting to new to newer CPU's would enable them to stop supporting/rip out a load of legacy code? Also, is this actually a good opportuinty for Desktop Linux?

They are signifigantly changing the hardware requirements, so I think it makes sense to bump the version number. It would be a lot worse if this was a Windows 10 update that was incompatible with the majority of Windows 10 machines!

Another user asked me how I was doing this in the (I guess now deleted) post about MS Teams using WebView2, so put this together. We're building software for shops with poor internet connectivity, and a number of machines on the same L

I'm using WebView2 on a project at the moment, inside a WPF (dotnet core) app. One thing I've been having some fun with is the ability to host a REST dotnet core API inside the same application and then calling Javascript function

Interesting that it requires a TPM, I wonder how many Windows 10 devices won’t be able to upgrade? Bitlocker on by default?

Will this help with Android development? Would be nice to be able to debug from Android Studio without needing the emulator.

I'm a long time dotnet guy, but I've been working with Swift/XCode recently. There are definitely some things I like (completions in particular), but man do I miss the dotnet world. I recently had an issue where I was using a

I remember being obsessed with that trial when it was going on, Ars Technica in particular had excellent coverage. The fact that his SO question led to his demise is particularly nuts IMHO.

I found it incredibly useful as a beginner. As long as you could put together a decent question and were a little patient you would usually get your answer. The more experienced I got, the less useful I found it. These days, if I’m stuck, m

There’s videos on YouTube of people playing Windows games (like GTAV) through parallels via Rosetta 2. Performance isn’t amazing, but it blows my mind that it works at all!

I think it’s partly down to money. If you’re on a tight budget and can only afford one, you don’t want to feel as though you’ve made the wrong choice and are missing out. If you can afford to buy both then it’s not as big of a deal.

I was worried last year (I think it was last year...) when Mozilla laid off a bunch of people that Firefox would be a casualty. Thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case!
