The US Post Office was slated to use EVs as replacements for worn out mail delivery vehicles. For many areas, especially urban areas, those would have been perfect and cheaper in the long run. I know because I knew a lot of Mail cCarriers

Or recreate it on every boot :) For example, it you are paranoid about Linux's /var/lib/dbus/machine-id file you can easily use dbus-uuidgen(1) to re-create it on shutdown.

As you now, the more $ you have the number of laws you can ignore increases. As long as Apple keeps bribing (oh I mean political contributions) the more they get away with.

Curious how the various Linux distros and *BSD will handle this. I expect the Corporate distros (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu) will be happy to get that personal info from its users. The other US based distros, maybe ban its use in Illinois ? I expe

I use noscript instead of an ad blocker. I find it blocks the intrusive ads. I do not mind what I view as normal ads (ie: text or link), but these video and popup ads drive me crazy. I find noscript blocks the "bad" ads.

I personally think a good balance between tech and employees was the late 1980s. You still had to hire people to do work and tech was good enough to help them out. As tech advanced, people started trusting what the systems said even if bla

Very nice, I know how things like this go. You are in a hurry and documentation is something never gotten to. Plus it is a "one-time" setup, to be thrown away when complete. That is fully 100% full understandable :) I am sure t

Just finished upgrading, went easy. Because I am using cgd(4) I find it much easier to use sysupgrade(8) from pkgsrc. I was running the R/Cs without any issues, so I am sure 11.0 will be very stable.
