Curious about the pricing. It says $2.75 / month / user but it also says unlimited users. Does that mean you can pay $2.75 / month / user for as many users as you want? Seems confusing and I'd assume it's unlim

Meh .... the same could be said of virtually every job. You'd be hard pressed to find any company (including yours, or your clients if you freelance) who have squeaky clean operations. By that example do you think everyone working at N

This should be the top comment. Let's take a current headline: "Facebook is facing criticism for not allowing users to opt out of a feature that lets people look them up using their phone number or email address." There are s

I don't believe so. There are 2 cultural differences I've noticed as a son to immigrant parents in the US. 1) My parents primary goal was to make life better for their kids. It was in a nutshell why they immigrated in the first pl

What I'm saying is that <5% of revenues on technical infrastructure for a technology company at Lyft's stage doesn't seem that crazy to me. I agree that it would be a serious undertaking to move off AWS today. But it'

They're making $200 million / month based on their S-1 filing. I'm sure they've done the math and the effort to cost savings here simply isn't worth it to them.

I think the general feedback in these post are that people were using numerous tools in the decades before Facebook and they worked pretty well. I, myself, can concur what everyone's saying. I didn't have to set up a forum to chat

Any company could have pivoted to be Instagram. But Instagram was at the right place at the right time with the right product. Flickr did not have time on their side so it didn't matter if they had the other two.

I don't believe Flickr was ever targeting the same audience. There are very few companies which succeeded in the space Flickr was focused on. Smugmug is probably the closest and they wound up buying Flickr from Yahoo!. Turns out there&

At a very micro level it maybe a true statement that someone wasn't deprived of anything they valued. However, an automaker has a responsibility at a macro level because they sell so many cars. Here's what seemed exceptional in th

I realized at my last job that I was working to essentially replace myself and my co-workers. It was a pretty sobering thought. We often joke about training our replacements but we're definitely in an age where it's just as easy (

Even Googlers are perplexed when it comes to what certain group settings do and where you go to change them. We're working on improving that. Do you primarily use groups.google.com, admin.google.com or the AdminSDK APIs?
