I use Amethyst (like xmonad), spaces and set the dock to auto hide. Keyboard shortcuts for switching layouts and moving windows. Three finger swipe to the left or right to switch spaces or ctrl 1-4. I’m pretty happy with this setup. https:

It’s not terminal services. We are using VMware horizon. Printing is fine. USB scanning is a little slow but most people don’t seem to notice.

Been running a setup like that for over 6 years. It’s great. Support is ridiculously easy. Desktop refreshes aren’t bad either and that’s one of the most difficult projects for an IT department to pull off. We’ve done a couple of them now -

Off topic, but that link doesn’t work because it redirects through guce.advertising.com and I use a pi hole. I wonder if it was a deliberate decision to redirect traffic away from the site to an ad server to have it redirect back after trac

Agreed. That's around the time I started using some weird setup where my google searches would go through Tor and I was blocking their cookies. It was overboard, probably unnecessary and probably didn't accomplish much, but it was

And your case would probably be dismissed before it ever gets off the ground. That’s if you can get an attorney to take it in the first place. You could have an ironclad case of whatever and if everyone shows up to court and it’s the first

That's a complaint from someone who doesn't understand the function of HR. HR isn't there to protect the employee. They are there to protect the company while giving the impression they are there for the employees. Sometimes

Yeah, it wasn't the crazy part that bothered me. It was the dismissive, condescending, passive aggressive tone while acting as if it's purely out of compassion. Plenty of people would choose not to engage this Byrne character base

I think if it was that small, Google wouldn’t take an aggressive stance against ad blocking. They would likely retain more users overall by appealing to that small power user minority that converts others.

If you’re going to call someone crazy then just come out and say it. Don’t quote the guy and then chime in with your fake compassion and hope that he gets the help he needs. That’s saying the guy is batshit crazy while trying to look like a

I don’t imagine it would. It might be there already. The real problem was mentioned above. We risk a situation where each app has its own doh config and not all of them allow you to change it. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with doh. It’

Caldera was the one with the graphical installer where you could play Tetris. I believe Mandrake was the one that was very similar to Red Hat (back around RH 5.2) but I remember it being a little easier to get working. X was difficult. I re

Another crap Forbes contributor article. The fix is to ban these posts. These articles have basically zero credibility because they are written by ordinary dopes who pay to have their blogs published on forbes.com. There is no fact checking

We are on an EA. Annual spend is in the 200-250 range. We have pretty tight asset management so it’s not difficult to get precise numbers. We have grown substantially over the past 7 or 8 years and our license count has gone up accordingly
