This is cool! Might be less of a problem on MacOS, but I'd love a script that automatically turned off sending analytics to Apple every time I do a beta OS update.

I don't disagree, but I'm not sure if you meant to reply to my comment? I didn't make any references to saving money; the point I'm making is that spending 10 hours this week in order to have 10 additional hours of capac

I agree! You have to also remember that, if you're the person pushing for something to be priority, it's your job to make it make sense to whoever is responsible for prioritization. The easiest way to do that is to speak the same

That’s really cool! Was this just with the standard warranty, or did you have to get some sort of extended support plan?

Health insurance in the US, and other countries, is pretty far from traditional insurance markets where you pay a small amount of money to cover rare, catastrophic events (like your house burning down, or an earthquake). The name might be s

Apart from ChromeOS, most desktop operating systems default to other browsers. Yet Chrome is estimated to have ~70% of desktop browser market share. So defaults can't be much of a defense against browser advertising, especially on Goog

I tried it, and it works alright. But it's not very comfortable to keep it on while eating/drinking, and you can't wear the thing in public without looking ridiculous. Personally I found my existing dual-monitor setup to be m

This is dangerous and untrue advice. Drones are considered aircraft in the US, and there is no altitude limit or license requirement for something to be considered an aircraft. See 49 U.S. Code § 40102 [0] and explicit FAA regulation of air

Remote areas sure, but also spots where you have line of sight to a satellite, but a cell signal can't get to, like canyons. Which is actually surprisingly common in some areas, like San Diego, depending on your carrier!
