You can bypass writing the archive to disk, as well: pushd /tmp && \ curl 'http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/tmux/tmux/tmux-1.8/tmux-1.8.tar.gz?r=http%3A%2F%2Ftmux.sourceforge.net%2F&ts=1364579710&use_mirror

http://bitcoinity.org/markets is the place I watch. The table on the right is aggregated buys/sells, so if you see something like "200 for 90.00" it could be 20 people buying/selling 10 coins, not 1 doing 200.

I just installed this for the first time and my favorite feature is relative font-sizes, hands down. I have a larger default font-size on my laptop and I didn't realize how many sites don't respect that until I switched.

Whois wouldn't help here. The problem is that so many requests are going to twitter.com/[username] that they start sending false 404s (or some other error, not 200) because of rate limiting.

vim Fugitive does this as well. `:GBrowse` will open the current file on GitHub, with an optional line range.

If you need layouts RABL falls apart with Ruby 1.9: https://github.com/nesquena/rabl/wiki/Using-Layouts there's a note at the of the "Using Rabl" section.

Those cookies would be blocked for browsers with 3rd-party cookies disabled, and Firefox is making that option the default at some point in the near future.

For those of us who know how to "fix our fucking network". Most consumers don't have a clue what that error means.

Yeah, that caught my attention as well. I think it's pretty insane for something like this to require backbone to work, the functionality is trivial to implement without Backbone.View.

You wouldn't need a fake network to load test a web app, and you'd end up being CPU bound for a good load test (as in, the load tester would be CPU bound, obviously you want the app to become maxed in CPU usage). AWS is actually great for d

You would really want to do gem 'rails', '~>3.2.0` otherwise you could get upgraded to '3.3' or '3.4' which is more likely to break something.

It seems to be you would just be "renting" the URL. You "rent" a domain on a yearly basis from the registrar which "owns" it.

I see no reason to use this instead of defunkt's excellent gist gem[1]. Yours requires you to pass a file (or files) in, but sometimes you just want to paste whats on your clipboard or the output of a command. gist handles that. [1] https:
