Yes, but the code is still pre-processed before it is executed by anywhere. edit: The fact that the pre-processing library is 300kb uncompressed is a pretty huge deterrent.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about that. Something like Ploymer[1], where you define the new tags (and their templates) separately from the JavaScript code that powers them, makes a bit more sense to me. [1] http://www.polymer-project.org

Exactly this. Don't litter your code with comments, use them when they make sense. For example, if you're doing something "against the grain" but have a good reason: leave a comment explaining why.
