Magento code in general is of very dubious quality. I once ran a quick static analysis on it and found some ridiculous results: https://twitter.com/jlas_/status/391615992473722880

I wonder how many best practices and contemporary OS techniques have come and gone in the Hurd's source code over the years.

Scraping in Node.js is just not worth it. IMHO the asynchronicity really gets in the way of building a scraper.

Interesting tidbit: it looks like the über folks acquired the http://www.uber.nyc domain recently. The .nyc domain actually started registering this year and the auction for uber.nyc (which I was a part of) ended at $3,200. I wa

Cool. It seems to satisfy the A & D of the ACID properties [1]. The C is not-applicable as there isn't a notion of schema or constraints [2]. [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACID [2] http://en.wiki

Another interesting aspect is the Lock-On detection of the enemy aircraft. Aircraft are able to identify when they're being tracked by other aircraft or homing missles. [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radar_warnin
