This is doubly/triply/quadrupley difficult for those of us with ADHD; I've spent years working on meditation, and I only get glimpses of silence; and that's only on the best of days. To take a medical condition such as

Take the sadomasochism one step further; do FPGA programming, learn the joys of properly enumerated case statements (or the hell of finding what one is blowing up your flip-flop/latch diagram).

As someone that's gotten their degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering I can whole-heartedly agree that this extends to even most engineering degrees; it's why we have EIT & PE grades, and the PE needs to sign off on

Every time I see "Deep Impact" in the context of NASA I end up thinking of the Climate Orbiter; where, due to an issue with unit conversion between metric and SI they turned it into the most expensive lawn dart to ever leave the s

Nope you haven't missed anything, their user manual for it is very sparse (to put it nicely). At least it comes with a pinout? Another user was saying ~25 second refresh rates.

I came to complain about the graphs... Their 38%s don't line up; like at all. Also, they don't go into what they mean by "unlabeled" in either the current methodology or their previously linked North Korea methodology ei

I know this may sound callous; but if they're too young to go to the park unsupervised, are they actually in your yard unsupervised; especially if you're concerned about local crime? I'm not pushing one way or another honest

One bio-ethical route (at least for many of us in the Mid/Mountain-West US) is to use a deer or pigs blood dilute. It isn't harmful for edible plants (you should be at least rinsing your produce anyway) and it keeps most foragers

I think you're viewing books and online content as entirely equivalent media forms; which would be much the same as treating movies and theater as equivalent content - they're adjacent, and provide similar material, but don't

I'm really interested in what's considered "a bit behind the curve" as I'm pretty skeptical that slow monoliths like traditional banking, education, healthcare, and hard engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, e

Yup mine too, but that rules out a lot of FAANG adjacent companies and start-ups which isn't tenable for some peoples' interests. I gave up on that chase for stability, weekends and holidays actually off, no on call schedule, and

I can't find the article now, but that was actually a suggestion I really liked; don't learn CS in college, learn History, learn Math, learn anything else, because someone who can program are about a dime a dozen; but a historian
