I really liked the Airpod Pros until I started to associate their use with worsening tinnitus. Now I'm trying big headphones with no ANC. But I definitely don't have any solutions.

This is just conjecture, but I think tinnitus is caused by vibration of the inner ear that doesn't come from the eardrum. The inner ear is designed to be resonant for audio frequencies, and the earplugs contain them, maybe too much. Ju

I’ve met him a few times at small conferences and my ex used to babysit for him. I think he’s quite playful actually, in a very focused intellectual sort of way. He often goes extempore and makes contemporary jokes out of his presentations.

This seems like the most relevant anecdote in this thread. When I talk to friends about how they interview, it’s never about skills. Some say they’re not actually hiring, but they interview experts for free advice. If they are desperate, th

Personally I think we’ll soon discover that what we’re doing in ‘quantum’ is indistinguishable from classical analog at that frequency and noise temperature, and that will also be the point where it becomes broadly useful and scalable.

I forgot the 80-character limit. Because of word-wrap, and the tendency for editors like notepad to save the newlines it adds, the 80-character limit came into fashion. People that write long chains of functional code also like tabs. This f
