I wrote a whole sqlite wrapper while in my hot tub carrel. I call that time "meditubbing." I read a story somewhere a thousand years ago about Gustave Flaubert's work habits. As I recall, at a dinner party: Woman: "Was y

I may be off base here, but what if I'm a super-rich dude who starts a company that exists solely to send the SPCA, St.Judes and Shriner's Hospital a million a month because of those gut-wrenching commercials, but I want to remain

I'm writing a major system using FPC/Lazarus right now, and will fund additional dev as soon I can get a reference mvp done. No idea how many people are using this toolchain to produce real work, but I consider it to be my secret

I'm using Fossil for my book. My book is about business systems simplicity so it's a great fit. If I hadn't started using sqlite for a project, I would have never even heard of Fossil. What a great, beautifully simple combina

Too bad the C beer-goggles have lasted so long that other great languages didn't take hold. Don't know about that theorem proving stuff in ATS, but with some application of hygiene like "if denom <> 0 then" and com

Not own, but assimilate. Own the attention. GPL will have new perspectives after this is over with. For those of you who don't use Windows, try to uninstall the AV on windows 10. MSFT AV uses about 400 mb of ram on my Lenovo Flex 11 ru

I'm writing a pretty serious app in FreePascal/Lazarus right now that's working out nicely. At some point, the Delphi cost may be justified, but not right now. Plus, the code injection macros in FPC (Delphi doesn't have)

Thanks for sharing. Interesting stuff, esp since I consult for Ford Motor. I've always been a fan of DbC since introduced by Eiffel, and wrote a clunky but workable DbC module in FPC.
