Ability to install alternative operating system (such as Linux) extends life expectancy of hardware. That is important for ecology, lower carbon emissions... I can easily imagine EU to pass new law, which would require "signed bootloa

I am bit skeptical to this deposit method. Large stock can easily control perhaps 10% of all coins. I think that might be enough to cause fork. Reward is huge, risk low (declare hack and go bankrupt).

But I am talking about something like RPi2 on higher frequency, more ram and small ssd. I bet it will run better than this archaic machine with P4. Faster memory transfer rate, SSD, proper video acceleration makes a huge difference. P4 had

I am concerned with energy consumption of this device. Pentium 4 class computer consumes 40 watts while idle. ARM cpu would work just as fine (Ubuntu). I think this devices should not be called green, unless they disclose power efficiency r

And people pay $80 for this? ARM device from China will be cheaper, smaller, more power efficient and will run Ubuntu just as fine. > 2.8Ghz P4 or better CPU (pentium 4 is very very green) > 80GB SATA HD (spin it yeah, Ubuntu comfor

I think we are two different threads. Signa11 already has good headphones, even amp and DA. Question is what headphones, DA and amp is best for upgrade. I am sorry, I just disagree that mac book pro is the answer.

I do it sometimes as well, I would not call sound fantastic, but its ok for movies and remastered (flat) music. But so does $120 Major. I just think it is really bad advice. Why buy expensive headphones optimised for amps without amp? Just

I only do headphones. I can recognize 160kbps mp3 from 320kbps. Decent headphone setup is around $500, with performance of a few milliwatts. Now scale power 1000x, I bet price will go up as well. Probably exponentially.
