Most bugs in Android 4.4 are not fixed. That is just three years old branch. Upgrading to latest 7.x is not an option for everyone Linux has LTS support for 15 years. WinXP was supported for 13 years.

Gimp source code is pretty old. Adding stuff like 16/32 bit support is not easy. On other side Krita is newer, uses QT, is developing faster etc..

Similar in Czech republic. We buy equipment which is 3x more expensive than market value. Nobody cares because it is paid from public money.

I am surprised it does not mention Psion. With better management we could had iphone 10 years earlier. Psion Series 5 has no replacement even after 19 years (keyboard, display, battery life..)
