I've love each new release of the Thoughtworks radar. It's a great way to discover emerging tech by respected technologists. Discovering their BYOR feature immediately triggered an idea around understanding your familiarity with p

Back in the 90s, Solaris was the big hold out -- IRIX and HPUX both came with at least a subset. First thing I had to do on Solaris was install the GNU tools, and, thankfully, eventually there were packages to manage that installation.

In retrospect, I agree with you. Between masking --especially promoting masking with inadequate masks--, lockdowns, and anything else tried, they were met with 50% resistance which nullified any potential, positive effect.

If you look at what Apple has done since, diversifying production out of China, this may have been a trigger. It could also be purely supply chain stability, but Cook appears to be a more noble figure than his peers IMO. The collision of po

Which cloud mega-corp do you like out of Amazon, Cloudflare, MS, Oracle, IBM, and Google? I like digital ocean, and I’d consider Hetzner, but AWS is pretty top notch outside of cost and their parent’s general biz practices.
