More or less. Not sure about appkit, but the Apple dictatorial control bothers me. E.g., Apple apps on iOS have tight integration unavailable to other apps, and they don’t improve their apps for power users or broader use cases. Also, the

I’ve been using BoxCryptor on top of google drive. The hard decision was deciding whether to use a fringe[1] service with dedicated encryption or one of the big 3 and encrypt locally. I switched from Dropbox to Google Drive, and store encr

In fairness, if someone is a jerk to you, but sincerely apologizes, it is important to be thick-skinned and accept that apology. I think this only works in isolated cases when the offending party accidentally says something offensive, or

At uni, one of my physics profs allowed us to bring our own cheat sheet into exams. The point wasn't to cram it full of everything in super tiny writing, but to think about what should go on it and how to organize it. The thought pro

For me, celerity of access makes my note taking possible. Mouse over a hot zone and the editor slides out. Mouse away, and it hides. I used to use SideNote, but that was abandoned. I'm currently using SideWriter, but it's a littl

This is comparing apples to oranges. Gore is rich, has a big house, a pool, etc. Of course his house is going to consume more energy than the average. He does claim to try and live a carbon neutral life. If he does, should it matter how

Burnout is working hard on a vision not mutually shared, at an organization with its head up its ass, for people you don't respect. The money does not matter. Abnormal silence or open grumbling is a chief symptom.
