This - precisely. I live on a Mac all day every day. Does everything I want, exactly how I want it, and makes me so much more productive than if I had to fight with Linux all day long.

I get the overall point you're trying to make, but for the person who was going to be that #5 shooting and gets to live instead, that's a positive outcome for that person at least. Overall there's certainly a larger discussio

Yeah, I would agree with that. It definitely demonstrated that gaming is possible even under Rosetta, which is an accomplishment. Watching some other stuff from them this morning, it seems like they're passing the metal calls directl

Yeah, did you notice they also ran it at 1080p and it really didn't look all that great? I was actually a bit surprised they would break that kind of a demo out at WWDC -- I've seen that game not running in emulation and it was

Why would that surprise you, given the comment? The desire is to make it better, using it in spite of its issues is a way to do that. More users = more inertia to make it better, more resources for reporting issues, etc. I personally use

Still one of the best games ever released. The gameplay is clunky now in comparison to modern gaming, but the story is still one of the most compelling in the field. Agree with the above -- would love to see it remade using modern engine.

Noticed yesterday the NEETS modules were posted, and it seems there are a few of us old Navy techs on the board. This is the story of the beginnings of Navy computing -- it's also indirectly a history of the Data Systems Technician and
