I'm not a domain expert, but both could be right - isn't the point that some currencies and tenors are very illiquid, not that the entire market doesn't exist?

> #1 reason for a hacker to not work for Google, you could program "Hello, World" and they wouldn't sign off on it. This is just not true. If you want to write code that isn't owned by the company, you just ask [1]. I

You might really enjoy the Graph Gear line of pencils and pens as well: http://www.pentel.com/store/graphgear-1000 .

Right, I think that WeChat basically exemplifies this too. But at that point, is the user really interacting with a "bot", or is the chat platform just an app delivery mechanism like an OS or a web browser? I'm honestly askin

I think that the pizza analogy is really useful. We've had intelligent voice-capable agents for pizza ordering for ages: calling the store. People hate it! They want a specialized UI for ordering pizza.

I think that they also had Joan say "the medium is the message" about a decade before McLuhan thought it up, but I could be mistaken.

I don't get it. Programmers are surrounded by trees. The filesystem, your code's AST, dependency trees, the HTML DOM, any JSON ... why do people consider it so unreasonable to ask a question about simple manipulation of a well-und

But the whole point of this approach (as I understand it) is that companies may be able to deliver the ads in the same HTTP response as the content, they may render the whole page as a <canvas>, they may go to crazy lengths, but by si

In case you're not aware, the design you're proposing is generally called "RPC" (remote procedure call). In many ways, it's much more intuitive, but there are tradeoffs. This article might make interesting reading:

I first learned how to program by reading - nearly cover to cover - the TI-83 instruction manual. Fantastic.

At the bank I used to work at, traders had a habit of wandering over and asking questions about the differences between the prices of securities over time (as arbitrageurs, it's all they thought about). I got so sick of writing one-off

Sure, but it's hard to think of much that would hurt "the mission" more than the harassment that's been alleged (and corroborated). Properly investigating that, removing those involved at any level, and ensuring a cultur
