Cool insight! I wonder if ChyronHego isn't available real-time due to not being able to provide it in real-time or just that there is not enough money on the table for them to do so. I'm pretty sure the Opta data is available on a

Opta[1] provide stats for many sports. For example, in football(UK), Opta provide feeds that include many stats on the game before, during, and after. These feeds can be quite extensive. I imagine most sports have similar services available

I think (with no basis in reputable source) it's more just that Amazon see a large potential market in Europe that current Regions can't cover. There're also possibly local data laws / policies that mean not every compan

I think that instead of creating pseudo-jobs to counter this, perhaps we look into the 'bored' aspect. Can we provide stimulation to avert the negative results seen historically? When we say that we have and distribute the resourc

Error in conciseness! I can empathise completely and do understand the reasoning of the opinion of a large number of people who do not want a third party being privy to every transaction. I was attempting to convey that there are likely man

We had that in the UK for a while too. It seemed that the big corps ended up absorbing the fee and then most others had to too. There's still the occasional merchant that has a minimum but I see less and less as time goes on. In theory

I agree with the sentiment, though I'd argue they're getting better. For example the Nationwide FlexDirect current account[0] comes with a £1,200 overdraft limit that gets charged at 50p per day it's used. A vast improvement

I don't see this as a given. I for one would be more than happy to have a cashless society, and I would struggle to believe that I'm unique out of the ~7 billion there are of us.

Worth pointing out that this can be fuzzy, I have a £1600 overdraft facility that I can use with my debit card (I don't use it though).

Not sure what you've seen to evidence this. I've worked for 4 companies (definitely not exec level); I've been pulled over a couple of times and not once been asked to do a drug/urine test.

In a previous thread, I mentioned that Paul Bettany would be the best voice for this sort of system. That said, Morgan Freeman is a fine alternative.

Surely it's just a matter of time before someone gets a blank cheque and hires Paul Bettany for whatever is required to voice one of these systems. I'm through and through Google to a fault, but that would seriously sway me. I

Is this a real issue? My understanding was that there is a significantly lower demand for electricity at night. This is reflected in my energy tariff at least (daytime ~3x cost per kWh over night time).
