We host several agencies' clients' websites. The majority host their clients' websites across several managed servers (VPS or dedi). They opt for managed servers because they don't want to deal with upgrades, patching, o

Are the popups part of the demo only or there when you create an account? My scrolling was interrupted ad infinitum and repetitively. I ended up closing the tab. Maybe show an option to mute them?

I'm not against what you're saying w.r.t it being a place to show code and interesting not-for-profit projects, but we can't force Show HN to be that and only that. Forcing an open-source only culture on Show HN is no better

Frankly, I'm not sure this answers poster's question. While Show HN submissions are visible and volume is high, quality isn't so much. Maybe this explains why Show HNs don't make it to the front (not worth voting up). I&

Although Rwanda is among the most Christian countries in Africa, in the 1994 genocide, church buildings became the primary killing grounds. To explain why so many Christians participated in the violence, this book looks at the history of C

What would be fair comparison is a country or region with a large Christian population that's at war or serious unrest. One country that comes to mind is Rwanda in 1994.

The IMF tied Morocco's $6.2bln precautionary loan line (coming directly from the IMF) to its energy dependence. This solar project is being hurried up so the loan can be unlocked. All of this is in a timetable from 2012.

Why the downvotes? I think it's a very lucid observation! This is just one "loan" out of many that the IMF has granted to third world countries like Morocco. IMF knows it won't get its loan plus interest back for many de

As I said before, OpenBSD prefers to move a little slow. This has saved us a lot of wasted effort chasing the latest fad, only to switch directions a year later. At the same time, in order to stay relevant and not fall too far behind, we h
