Have to say though, with Windows8 coming about and with hyper-v built-in I'd just run a vm of some nix, then having at it with Node builds with already tons of usage under its belt. But I do understand that people with IIS want to run Node

These tricks are depressing and bolsters my attitude more toward a profitable yet slower growth start-up, doing without the sleazy investors... By no means am I saying all are sleazy, but a slower growing startup will not attract the better

Reach out to a few shopify customers you know that are doing well, but aren't using your app. Everyone wants to make more sales! Offer to only demo/present your product, not to sell. If your product is good, it will sell itself. Also use th

Use YC not as a source of funding. Use it as a piece of education and networking in your start-up puzzle. Edit: Funding by itself is no measure of success or validation. It might be part of the puzzle, along with the knowledge learned, and

Disk space is a soft limit. Hard limits are repos. I find it hard to beleive your company can't spend $100 on offloading to a managed resource such as GitHub.

If you do #1, you might as well throw in more commands. I can see why the author might not want to cascade in to that just yet.

Putting any proxy cache in front of your app will help. You can 'simulate' static caching of dynamic content. You will have to take a look at your headers however as most caches obey upstream caching headers to spec tightly.
