Honestly, I found it super interesting and the tone worked for me. It’s a comprehensive summary of the poison that is engagement and metrics above all else development. But I will say the tone makes me stop short of sending this to my paren

Yeah it works fine, when you click the “new page” button the template just gets duplicated from the base. So toothbrush will be duplicated for each new trip, checking one off won’t affect the others. To be clear: it’s not a table of items t

It takes some doing, but you can build a pretty competent trip planning/packing app all within something like Airtable or Notion. This is what I use, I have a db called “trips”, when a new page is added it pre-fills with a generic trip

You are nit picking while ignoring their larger point: just because a state has regressive policies doesn’t mean it deserves to be oppressed, controlled, and effectively destroyed. Israel’s terror is not helping queer people in Gaza, full s

Do the Right Thing. Not only is it one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, but I’m reminded of the ending every few months when I read the news. I now have a very different perspective when I see some oppressed group get admonished for prote

I love reading reviews, even for albums I’ve already listened to. They provide an additional perspective and often are full of history, influences and other additional information that you won’t get from the album itself.

The parent comment didn’t say force to date, it’s more like don’t allow filtering by race. Many gay apps explicitly don’t have this feature already.

Yes! Also that many attempts to centralize podcasts have failed. At least in my experience it’s been very easy to avoid Spotify or Audible’s locked down podcast offerings.

I thought it was kind of novel, in that I wouldn’t expect the sxsw crowd to boo anything tech-pr related, since from my vantage point that’s all sxsw is. It also felt novel that the promo video itself had an OpenAI bigwig say “AI actually m

In what way are Tyler Perry’s movies culture war movies? They’re not “woke” at all. They’re all incredibly conservative and Christian. They’re just made for a black audience, which has clearly made Tyler Perry very, very rich.
