Can't believe I missed this Redis change. I know that one path for open source is to build a company around it, but it seems that so many of the big players that have done that do it for the early clout and move to a closed license lat

Just downloaded this and gave it a go. I have no experience with running any local models, but this just worked out of the box on my 7600 on Ubuntu 22. This is fantastic.

Completely agree. Widely known and supported, both rendering and with editors. You'll be able to add a WYSIWYG editor that saves as markdown for little effort on pretty much any platform, especially the web.

This story is part of the reason I'd never want to know about where I land intelligence wise compared to other people. No matter the outcome, I don't think it could be good. I it's below average, I'll feel limited. If it

This is a very cool feature, but I'm starting to see why people say that Swift has crammed every other language's feature into one place. Not that that's necessarily bad, but this is a pretty specific feature to have that pro

My biased guess: both have inherently little actual value. Some crypto has transactional values, and gold has minor value in production, but those aren't valued in gold speculation prices. They mostly ride on speculation and the fear o

I wasn't familiar with BN Press for personal use. I've done some research into KDP and Lulu, but I've decided that ebooks would be my main focus after getting a Kindle and loving it. For a limited/test run, BN Press seem

I worked at a 4day work week company and this is spot on. When I left for a better offer they showed my "real comp" which included at a 25% multiplier for the day off. I worked most Fridays because they needed me to.

You're absolutely right that they make a damn fine laptop (the build quality stands out to me) and they do a great job in that market. Anecdotally, my Framework 13 AMD ran me 1500 and I ended up with 64 GB of ram, 2 TB of storage, and

I never filed bug tickets until I had graduated college and worked on software full time. Then I learned that the devs _do_ care (at least on the small software I've worked on) and they love to know if something isn't working, esp
