A part of me really wants you to check in with them every year, to see how long they can claim they're "still investigating" for. This is great insight though re: money laundering. Something I'd have never expected would

FWIW, I chose to make my side project I've been working on for the last couple years an entirely vanilla js SPA. The biggest downside I've noticed vs using something like React is my speed of development is much slower. The upside

This might be because each were sold with the old firmware (better noise cancellation), and eventually got updated to the new firmware (better battery).

There's something to be said about overloading the effort required though. We used to train endurance by dragging a tire behind us in the water. When it came to race day, everything would feel 10x easier.

What I want to know here is can I seed it with a human face? If so, this really becomes a breakthrough for fast meme generation / other more nefarious uses. That will really be the thing that opens the floodgates on this.

Nearly impossible to regulate, and too rigid to boot. Does a duplex count as two? If so that means triplexs higher MUDs are illegal, which will harm low income housing options. Can companies own property? If so then the problem is easily es

Possibly for smaller projects, for anything remotely sizable, 2TB is likely not going to cut it. 5k prores is 1TB for every 30min of footage, which means you're only getting an hour out of a 2TB drive. Storage needs for any pro video w

As someone who did the exact same thing last year, we paid $55,290 for our Model Y. Dealers were quoting us 48k for the RAV4 hybrid, with a 12 month wait list. It was worth it for us to pay 7k for the upgrade to the Tesla, and to get someth

I suspect no, as if you look at ifixit's teardown they show there's actually a thermal shield in place, likely to prevent your lap from being exposed to the higher temps: https://youtu.be/NjP-aAhHhnE?t=122

Legally it's required, but I think their point is it should be required by hardware. Right now most new cars just beep at you, but you can still operate them.

We use it for our family chat, and so far it's been a total pain. Google changes things so regularly, but with little awareness of the impact those changes make. At one point they deprecated hangouts for chat, but required hangouts sti

Super impressive use of the height of the container to set state. How it works: The left rope has a "resize: vertical" attribute set, which lets you dynamically change the height of it with only css. This influences the height of

I started by visiting Hoi An. It's a tailoring town that's kinda also a tourist destination. Highly rec visiting as the food is good and you can get your entire wardrobe custom made in a couple days. After doing it a couple times

If anyone is interested in leveling up their swag at the expense of time, going directly to tailors in Asia (I use Vietnam) can massively increase the quality, while providing the same expense and delivering more money to those who make you

As a daily THC/CBD user, these days I switched to an electronic dab rig to minimize unknowns involved in what I'm putting in my lungs. I currently use a Puffco peak pro as well as CO2 extracts. Highly recommend the move for anyone

I think the wikiped article is citing the velocity you’d have purely under the gravitational pull. That calculation likely doesn’t include the additional velocity given from the magnetic pull of magnetaurs. Given that magnetism is a stronge

One thing I would love to see here is an end of life for this ruling. I.e. “effective as of 2024, but not enforced after 2030 without renewal”. Market saturation of the standard alone should be enough to get alignment on a single connector,

It's likely the site itself, as the .jpg extension is referenced in the html. The screenshots should be pngs, not jpgs. Weirdly the author is using a mix of both - it could be that their site automatically encodes larger images as jpgs

I've got a lot of color background[0]. This is a cool approach for sure, but one thing I would caution anyone on doing is only relying on math or an algorithm to choose colors. The author makes a great point about halfway through - t

A nice bump in specs, but nothing groundbreaking like the initial ship. Somewhat disappointed that AV1 isn't supported in hardware, and Apple's continued push with HEVC gives me doubts they'll support the codec in the future.

Question about investing in companies - given cheap money is hard to find now, from an investor side does it make more sense to try and invest in companies now than it did before, as I assume you'd get more for your money?

On one hand, this is something easily done with a parent div, some positioning, and overflow hidden. Probably not worth adding to the spec for such a specific use case. On the other hand, I do like that this unifies the functionality of svg
