For kicks and giggles and because my wife was born in Yugoslavia I bought Yugoslavia.org a few years ago. Would like to do something meaningful with it.

This is not just OpenAI though. I don’t think this is new in general for these AI chat apps. Claude at the very least asks a question as the last part of its responses I believe every time.

It gave me a very wrong intro starting lesson number after saying I was second from the most advanced level and answering 26/26 of the intro questions correctly. It was showing me things like what does the 1st most common verb mean, et

Like what would that look like? US citizens being shot in the back of the head by government agents? On a weekly basis?

Not sure why anyone thinks a judges order is worth anything in the USA anymore. I am not reassured at all.

This is definitely Barbara Streisanding right now. I had never heard of OpenCode. But I sure have now! Will have to check it out. Doubt I’ll end up immediately canceling Claude Code Max, but we’ll see.

Very cool. Was thinking about working onthis myself after moving in a house 4 months ago with these to all of a sudden ahve to replace them for no good reason.

Exactly. If it is used a certain way by enough people, that is also an accepted definition. Dictionaries lag actual speech and language I suppose.

+1 for cudarc. I've been using it for a couple of years now and has worked great. I'm using it for financial markets backtesting.

Because of public family trees potentially linking a genome to a family, no dna is fully anonymous these days.

Are they going to reinvest these funds into educations so our country can fill these roles or just waste it on weapons and unwinnable wars? I would be totally fine with this if it was the former, but I would bet that it won't be...

Thought about this some more. I think you want to start at 100% or high so people actually learn what needs to be learned: what malignant skin conditions actually look like. And then once they have learned you get progressively harder and h

Very cool. I learned a lot as a non dermatologist but someone with a sister who has had melanoma at a very young age. I went from 50% to 85% very quickly. And that’s because most of them are skin cancer and that was easy to learn. So my on

I have gone from using Claude Code all day long since the day it was launched to only using the separate Claude app. In my mind that is a nice balance of using it, but not too much, not too fast. there is the temptation to just let these th

They are already growing massively right. I saw the user growth from May was up massively. So it’s not much of an assumption of something changing, just a continuation of the same.

I have always thought that if they were candle holders it would make perfect sense. And they would be much more needed in the northern part of the Roman Empire than southern. And this is why no accompanying materials have been found in the

Can't help but wonder/predict that this will cause a long-term deflationary trend. Basically labor is going to peak and then get cheaper and cheaper. So those with capital are going to benefit from this (obviously). Hopefully this

This is through the grapevine. I thought they said 20% likelihood, not 20% higher likelihood. But this isn’t me and I don’t know the numbers well. I do know that this woman chose to not use her own eggs for their child. And you would think

Everything is at least partially genetic. We have a friend whose sister has it and she went to genetics counselors before having kids. They told her that because her sister has it that her kids had a 20% likelihood of developing it. Obvious

Then the employee is only making 30% and presumably not working elsewhere or that would defeat the purpose. So how is this a good approach? I would get 80% or more but don’t see how this is effective.

They would write “How do you say ‘yes please’ in French”. Or “translate yes please in French”. To think that a model wouldn’t be capable of knowing this instance of please is important but can code for us is crazy.

It's very naive but worth looking into. Could always test this if it is really costing so much money for one word. Or build another smaller model that detects if it is part of the important content or not.

Seems like you could detect if this was important or not. If it is the first or last word it is as if the user is talking to you and you can strip it; if not it's not.

The US overspends on military and underspends on most other things. Not sure when this will ever change. Only when it has to I guess.
