Western democracies have resigned themselves, perhaps by design, to leaving the poor vulnerable to criminals. I have no idea why this is, maybe sadism. Forcing the vulnerable to live a life where they have to worry for their personal securi

As long as I have an alternative I would never choose the ad blocker that doesn’t let me block the elements I want. For most websites I don’t care but there are many websites that I visit very often and removing annoying or useless elements

An ad blocker is useless to me if I can’t block whatever I want with it.

Deleted means the own user deleted his content. Removed means that the subreddit mods did it. Removed by Reddit means that the Reddit admins did it.

The agenda was to leave Ukraine and to have Europe pay for its own defence which is what’s happening here. Nothing more, nothing less. Don’t let yourself get manipulated by Reddit-tier arguments.

Workarounds don’t exist? Haven’t heard of ad blockers? Which, by the way, are completely legal.

That is completely false. Diesel cars, which are what the poors drive, are only allowed if they are from 2015 or newer (Euro 6)

A small number? In the UK there are more than 1 cars per household. In London it’s 0.76 which is still far, far from “a small number”

I don’t know. You can ask those poor people who can’t afford to buy a new “eco” car and are now unable to drive if they feel like their lives are better now. Maybe they have something to say about it, but ecologists may not want to hear it.

You can easily calculate the shipping costs of what you buy and see if free shipping is worth it for you. Nothing sinister about it.

This happened a few months ago. They changed the backend completely. You can also notice it’s much slower (say from 5 ms to 200 ms). But I don’t think it’s worse.

I disagree, because I’ve lived it and I know how it goes. It’s the same as unsending messages - you can ask people not to do it, but if the option exists, they will do it anyway. I’d rather that options I don’t like don’t exist.

They can allow you to 100% say whatever you want as long as the law allows them to host your speech. If they try to limit you beyond that, they are censoring you, which is what is occurring here.

What are “European values”? I was born in Europe, been here all my life, and I don’t think such thing exists - values that are shared among all Europeans AND that set us apart from other regions. Europeans are much, much more culturally seg
