Oh come on. It takes 30s to read trough their website and feature list to see that no, this has absolutely nothing to do with about.me. It’s mostly for business.

Yes, but you wouldn’t choose to use Ms. for a 8-year old. So if you’re presented with Ms. and Miss as options in a form, and neither has to do with marriage status, it’s natural that Miss will refer to the young.

I bet a dollar you’re conveniently forgetting a ton of little adjustments you’ve had to make, because they “are not complex at all” for you. Or all you do is use the browser.

That seems correct though - Miss is the appropriate title for a under 18y old.

The parts you highlighted refer to the online booking, and are correct - no charge to your card happened at the time of booking, you were charged by the hotel on arrival - as is custom on every hotel check in, online booking or not. On top

Sounds like you have a habit of not reading terms. For as much as I loath Booking, pay-on-arrival is clearly stated, and there is no escrow because you’re paying the hotel directly.

The mating call of all react devs - “but what about the images”. Who said a 100KB hero image was a good idea either? It doesn’t excuse dropping a 1MB (when executed) bomb of JavaScript to deliver a blog post and making mobile and low speed

React never claimed performance, and the virtual DOM is quite wasteful. Any direct manipulation library will perform better. Plus, it’s dishonest to look at react core size. react-dom, which is absolutely required, is 40KB minified AND comp

One of the comments puts out the possibility that the guy planted the bit about his grandmother being in the circus, which is.. quite believable. Certainly that was public information at the time. That puts the story under a whole new light
