I'm not sure it's a bad thing that anything can be modified in Lua. One of the main reasons Emacs is so powerful is because almost anything can be customized in elisp. I haven't used Lite XL and this is just an uninformed gen

I'm also happy with both Common Lisp and static functional languages like OCaml and Haskell. Each has its own advantages (and disadvantages).

I'm not an OCaml expert either. I've used Haskell professionally a little bit and also know OCaml. I find OCaml more practical because you don't have to fight with "pure" functional programming when you really want

IIUC Clasp is made from clang + lisp because it uses clang for the implementation.

Correct but with a minor correction. Starbucks becomes four syllables in Korean. A vowel (ㅡ) is inserted between the 's' and the 't' in 'star', and also after the last 's' in 'bucks'.

I don't have any first hand documents but wikipedia seems to explain a bit[1]. Also note that the original article explicitly says "THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION". [1] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ki

Yup. My understanding is that it was a propaganda spread by the right wing in order to discredit Kim Il Sung at that time. It's largely accepted as a conspiracy by the contemporary history communities IIUC.

In the corporate world, "leaders" are incentivized by having more people in their orgs. It makes them have more "power". So they constantly broaden the scope and try to hire more people. The leaders in software orgs neve

In the last section, the author is wrong about `cadr`. It should be `cdr` that means “the rest of the list”. `cadr` is for the second element of the list.

Common Lisp has both `mod` and `rem` together with their matching operation `floor` and `truncate` respectively. http://clhs.lisp.se/Body/f_mod_r.htm

In Common Lisp, default values of optional parameters are evaluated each time (only when the argument is not given of course). They can even reference other arguments that come earlier.

Huh? In my opinion it’s Scheme’s one million dollar mistake. Common Lisp’s identification of NIL and the empty list makes things very ergonomic in so many cases that I wonder if it’s by design or we were just lucky.
