While the number of hyphens is equal in both lines, the first hyphen in thr removed line is a diff char. The commit does exactly what it says, adding one extra hyphen to go below the 's' at the end of the preceding line.

It's kind of hard to take them seriously, when the usage of 'bro' has become so unserious. And then they use their name in situations where 'bro' would be used for humor, e.g. BroCon '14, The More You Bro (on t

Yeah I've read that article before. Of course it doesn't change the fact that what was shipped on the cartridges 30 years ago was crap, or the fact it took 30 years for someone to decide to fix it. Atari's decision remains th

I've validated it myself for an argument when the comic was published for the phrase "correct horse battery staple". First character is 4 bits: c = 4 The next 7 chars are 2 bits/each: "or

He's not assigning entropy per word. He's using NIST SP 800-63, based on the character-length of the phrase, to assign the entropy value. Proof: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=7163362

The comic makes no expectation or assumption about how the words are selected. The expected entropy is derived from "correct horse battery staple", including the spaces, using NIST SP 800-63.

Just google "conductive ink". I don't know of any printers that use conductive ink, but there is a variety of available pens with conductive ink that you can use to draw the circuits.

I agree with you, but that's not how Randall got the entropy for the comic. His entropy numbers come from NIST SP 800-63[0], for "correct horse battery staple" spaces included. But NIST SP 800-63 has been shown to be invalid in metric for e
