I have built many large scale apps and have never used a library for autolayout, it's just not necessary. Using visual format language helps cuts down the code a lot.

Out of interest how do you use your iMac as an external monitor? I have a slightly older one, so it doesn't support target display mode (only available on 2009 macs and newer).

I have Apple cables that old that still have nothing wrong with them. I think it was maybe about 4-5 years ago that they switched the materials, every cable I have had since then has started to disintegrate after a few months. In my office

This doesn't only happen with the two-prong adapters, I have noticed this on a few MacBooks, plugged in using the standard 3-prong UK plugs (sometimes with my phone too). An even weirder feeling is when someone else is touching the lap

Which is why it is blocked to people in the UK as they already pay the licence fee and therefore aren't allowed to be shown ads by the BBC. It's a bit of a weird situation.

In Xcode 8 you can't. They briefly had it as a feature but it has never worked properly and is not supported. EDIT: It was also using Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth.

It totally depends on the situation, JPEG isn't always smaller, and it's lossy unlike PNG. Flat colour images like logos will be smaller as PNG, and look better too. PNGs also support transparency.

That only works on pre 2008 Macs, I haven't seen any evidence about it being possible on later models.
