It can be though. You should be able to express low-level details but also implement high-level constructs effortlessly should you so choose. Look at C++, which can both dick with move semantics but also offer multiple inheritance. Even bet

There's no evil on TikTok that isn't on facebook and youtube. Apple has LGBT+ and BLM wallpapers on the phone by default. TikTok only reaches everyone with TikTok installed (and even then, only those that actually uses the app).

Came here to say this. The US owns Apple and Google, both of which are tremendously more influential than TikTok could ever hope to be. Turnabout is fair play.

James Damore was fired from Google[0] when he went out of his way to ensure his politics were to be kept private. What on earth did these people think would happen if they didn't attempt to keep their politics private? [0] https:

Who has the financial ability to switch careers like that on a dime? The only place that such a move is feasible would be a state that doesn't require a degree to teach. So...Arizona, California, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Texas,

How about AI censorship? Without lobbying, how would corporations share their expertise on the matter for politicians to take into account?

How would you prefer the lobbyists act? Corporations do have interests and it’s sometimes beneficial for those interests to be taken into account when creating laws (e.g. Intel with fab construction).

TikTok has (allegedly) shared US customer data overseas. They’re hardly unique to that end, no? I’m with you that this is dumb but mostly because I don’t see ByteDance holding even half its value for another decade.

Robocalls aren’t effective anymore. Emails don’t do much except once in a great while. Mail hasn’t worked since the 80s. I have to imagine IM clients will lose their effectiveness for scamming the same as all the others.

Objective outsider view, NPR is guilty as charged. How can NPR ever repair trust in their reporting with this over their head? NPR can't fix itself because any time they get someone that shows promise at being a stand-up reporter, th

I can’t base my world view around guesswork like this. Four confirmed cases is four confirmed cases and that’s that. It’s just like how people see ten murders by blacks on the news and assume all blacks are murderers. No, that’s just ten bl

Word on the street is that either Israel or the US is going to get hit by Iran within two weeks. I'm pleased that they pushed this through honestly instead of waiting for said attack to take advantage of the inevitably hysteria.
