One thing to take into account is that Jerry Yang and David Filo did their Yahoo directory in 1994 when there was a great need for search engines and people just didn't know what was out there. Their directory gave people a way of seeing w

What exactly is your project? I looked at your link, but it seems like it's just a collection of videos. I went to the main site, but it seems like it's a blog.

I think Facebook will be hard to replace until something else has enough mass. The problem is the FB is continuing to gain mass. FB has enough gravity to pull most users back in. To break free, the user will need will power to ignore all

I tried looking for more details about how exactly the company helps eliminate debt. Certainly even more cautious at the idea of linking up my CC to a website. If there were more details explaining the process, I think more cautious people

There are plenty of 'impossible' things you can do blind. For example, there are blind golf players. They have their own golf associations and tournaments. One of my old co-workers used to assist blind golfers by describing the location,

Those are not good examples, since an author or screenwriter will have people at the end who can help make it work. An editor/publisher or director/actors are essential. A good screenplay could still result in a crappy movie in the end. (

I have Firefox reopen the last tabs I had open. Great feature. I don't think I can go back to having the browser open up blank or to a default homepage anymore.

I wish laptops would go back to 4:3 aspect ratio. The trend for widescreen leaves me wanting for more vertical space. 800px or 900px vertical is too short and requires more scrolling. Yet, it's not wide enough to really fit 2 application

The X40/X41 might be cheap, but it is limited to a proprietary 1.8" drive and 1.5GB RAM. It'll be a slow drive around 40GB 4200rpm or you can spend money for a SSD. I suggest the X61. It'll support up to 8GB RAM and takes regular laptop d

Firefox extensions will keep me using it for a while until Chrome or IE can do better. Firebug, Adblock Plus, NoScript, CS Lite (cookie management) and probably a couple others make my browsing/development much nicer/easier.

It's been over 32c (90f) in NYC for most of this summer and with relatively high humidity and I don't stink after being outside and taking the trains. Nor do most of the people here. I would LOVE it to be 25-30C most of the summer! In fa

When it's really hot in NYC, it's really bad. This summer has had lots of >90f humid days and there are still many more hot days to go until Autumn. Except for the hot NYC summers, I do enjoy the seasons.

Well, you can't avoid all drugs, but you would agree that it would reduce the ones you can actively avoid. Right? Naive or not, I think an active healthy lifestyle is something that we should all strive for. Work and hope for the best.

What are the majority of suicides caused by? (I am actually curious.) I'm merely saying that living a healthy, active and happy life would produce good results and help to avoid needing to take drugs. Is that wrong? Naive?

If the viewer (of the stream) got interested enough and got 4 other friends interested in UFC, they would only need to throw in ~$10 each to watch the next event. It's probably not all that fun to watch a live event over a laggy stream wit

The people watching those streams were probably not going to pay to watch it anyways. They didn't lost much profit. If anything they probably gained more viewers who might pay to see the next event.
