I hate websites that have everything hidden because js is disabled. Or, they have an overlay covering up everything. These are content sites that do NOT even need the js to display the content properly. If I'm on a mobile device, I'd like

I highly recommend continuing with your education. It's going to be tough going into the job market without job experience and no college degree. If you're interested in hardware as well as software, maybe you can look into the Arduino ( h

Why was I voted down? I wasn't being rude or sarcastic. I'm not bothered by the vote, just curious what caused the person to do it.

If you're at the playground with your kid, you should not be playing chess. You should be paying attention to your kid. The only people who really should be playing chess are those who aren't there with kids.

Thanks for the memories. I feel old after looking at the pictures and remembering I used to collect StarTrek TNG card. Good memories.

Is that $3,000 after taxes or before? It's not really that much (either way) unless you really needed the instant money on the spot. $3000 might only be 2-3 weeks of pay or less. Offer $10,000 and see how well it works out.

Could be. Maybe it's not optimal code dealing with all the user details. It has to know all the submissions you voted on and anything else. Or maybe it was a coincidence and it was faster at the time you logged out.

I also recommend this website for a good collection of blogs entries daily. http://www.planetrubyonrails.com/ Good list. There's a few sites I haven't been to yet. Not a fan of bit.ly links though. I like knowing exactly where the lin

It's strange to me that some people don't use email. It seems unavoidable at this point in time. Some of important things that go through my email In box are my order statuses from online stores, bill reminders/confirmations, password rese

It's not going to replace email. Seems like it's a system for your friends. Their focus isn't for things like your bank account or anything else. It's very similar to email, but due to their knowledge of your friends they can simplify the

Maybe it's be better if people stated it as they would like it to be 'stop treating us like terrorists'. That's essentially what has happened. The government has decided that everybody is a terrorist unless proven otherwise. Any high rank

Have you been to Bed-Stuy recently? It's actually pretty decent and getting gentrified. Cafes, open eateries, fruit shops mixed in the regular stores. 'Checkers' burgers even opened there recently. I know, since I've been there lot this

Living in NYC isn't too bad compared to other big cities, unless you only think of NYC as Manhattan. The other boroughs offer cheaper (and safe) rent as long as you are willing to search a bit.

What GoDaddy is doing is very misleading on their main page by defaulting .co. If you weren't paying too much attention, you'd think it was .com instead of .co. I don't know if they make it more clear during the purchasing process that you

The post may have gotten a lot of up votes, but it doesn't mean he/she is right. I'm pretty sure that those low TSA people would LOVE to get a better job, but guess what they're there and that's the reality of it. In a better reality, we w

It's fine to get fired if you're great at something and fate/luck is on your side. Or your parents are extremely rich. For most people, it's not a good thing. Certainly do not try to get fired from a good job.

If you opt-out, please be respectful to the TSA security people. They're just working and can't change the policies for you. Most of them are not in high positions and can't just walk away and find another job the next day/week. So they'

If anybody knows people in tv or radio, it'd be good to get the word out. Opt-Out Day is Nov 24th. The day before Thanksgiving. It's going to be packed and slow without people opting out. Make sure to remind the mad people that it's the

I believe the law is also to prevent discrimination. How does one know the true reason a cab might refuse to take you? Sex? Race? Age? What if a cab took a white guy (non-threatening looking) to a location, but refused to take a black g
