A phone can also have a virus or trojan horse app on it. Even easier to take your money if you can get access directly on the phone. Forget radio waves, just get the user to install an app on there that will transfer funds over. I think a

How secure is this? Waving a device near something to complete a money transaction seems too easy. At Defcon 18, there was a presentation on how to access RFID from long range ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEBrslz0Xf4 ). It makes me ne

It's a huge step up from the WM6 version, which was just a notepad app. However, still not as great as their OneNote for Windows. Especially a Wacom enabled tablet. OneNote is the top app for people with Wacom tablets.

It looks like a permanent marker felt tipped pen. It's probably a Sharpie or Pilot brand. I highly recommend the new Sharpie 'Pen' if you're looking for a nice writing pen. (This is not the one he's using.) http://pen.sharpie.com/

Highly unlikely unless it's double screens. 2048x1536 on a 10" display is going to be extremely expensive. Doubt it such a display exists now.

In an ideal world, people would read the entire email and give a short and concise answer to each question. The answer should also have enough clues to reference the question. It would be 'Sure, Lunch at 1pm on Thursday' instead of 'Sure,

I found this Defcon 18 talk highly informative about the government and the internet. 'Your ISP and the Government Best Friends Forever' - Christopher Soghoian ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJDCxzKmROY ) To summarize, it's easier for pol

Edit your .bashrc in your home directory. Uncomment 'force_color_prompt=yes' Edit the line following if color_prompt is yes. By default it's green (1;32m). Red is 0;31m. Make sure to make a copy of the .bashrc file before starting.

The nice thing about Arduino is that it's open source. Anybody can look at their plans and make their own variant. The most interesting variants for me are the ones with wireless communication. Great for making remote sensor networks.

Ruby 1.9 still uses hash rocket. I'm using RoR3 on 1.9.2 and I haven't changed any of my hashes. I guess if you want to save some key strokes and you use symbols as keys you can use the new syntax. The other cool/different thing about Hash

It was supposed to be announced for 2010 Q4. Some think it might get delayed until 2011 Q2. Best to wait to see if it gets announced at CES in a few days.

While the maps might be bad, they need to update the routes too. Some routes are horrible and there are stops on every other block. In some areas it can take 6-8 minutes to get through 1 lane streets to go 2 blocks.

I wear an automatic watch most of the time when I'm outside. I like mechanical things and I don't have to worry about the batteries or water. It looks less rude to be checking your watch for the time than checking your phone for the time.
