I find the golang http server very basic, though. Like no content negotiation based on http headers by default, or any CORS by default. Also maybe writing headed after body does nothing since writing the body sends the response and it’s too

Yes, that does not help. To me, it looks like some kind of complex tetris game. I guess we could maybe represent a program as such, with pieces for registers, instructions, etc. Yet, the tooling we have is very terse, and textual.

Maybe give parental control to a friend for your phone so you’re limited in what can be done. Or maybe companies could provide a lock down mode that you can’t change for 1 year at a time, like a locked bank account or something.

Great app! In my experience, it works pretty well in Europe, but so so in East Asia (doesn't know many birds there).

The language was first designed without consensus and then released. It was used anyways. But now a sort of democracy is required for changes. I’m not sure this is necessary.

It’s fun, because when a newcomer joins a team, people tend to remind them that their bison is fresh and they might be seeing pain we got accustomed to. That’s usually said in a positive manner.

In that ladder of testing, I’d add simulation testing before formal methods in terms of cost vs benefits as well. IMO, I see FMs as converging to be part of the type system that is checked by the compiler automatically during CICD. If it’s

That’s a great point. Thinking of IPFS, maybe we shouldn’t refer to content by name and location at once. Perhaps every business gets a UUID, and that’s the official online ID for that business. Link it to a name only for display (or a list

If you plug your iPhone on your Mac, you can click "show this iPhone on WiFi" in finder. Then it’ll show up in Apple Music when connected on WiFi, and sync can happen this way.

Very cool project! Thanks for sharing! Makes me realise that a dock of shortcuts that would change per app would be nice! Like if cmd + 1, and up would be linked to a displayed shortcut in a dock and change according to the app. (Maybe it’s

Maps is so annoying for that: I travel to France, Italy and Germany on the road, and language is set to English on the phone, so it tries to pronounce everything the English way, and I can’t understand anything. I wish I could set a "r

I don’t buy that argument. Sometimes if you buy the movie you have more audio choices, on the same platform. If you buy the Blu-ray, you likely have tons of languages not present in the streamed video.

I think it’s still mostly true for Perl 5 in 2025, but raku did change a lots of defaults. Few people use raku, though, while Perl 5.32+ comes pre-installed mostly everywhere (except windows).
