I've been building WordPress sites as my primary profession for nearly 12 years now. While I think EmDash offers some nice polish on a well-tread architecture, I think it drastically misses the mark on where traditional web development

Slightly late to this party, but in my opinion, this doesn't go nearly far enough. This solution will be relevant for 12 months in it's current form. If it adapts further, it might have legs. I've built Wordpress sites for 12
