But dude... How else are you gonna turn it on remotely? WOuldn't it be awesome to be able to load it, walk away for several hours then turn it on from a different room?! That feature alone is totally worth all the extra hassle.

I had the same thought. These issues might just be issues with bluetooth in general, and not much apple can do about it.

I think they just mean it won't naturally degrade over time, like other physical storage media might. Obviously if you really wanted it bad enough, you could physically destroy the data.
