tl;dr If you don't use ngx_http_rewrite_module, you're fine Honestly it's such a weird feature, if you're doing complicated redirects like this in nginx where PCRE is necessary, you should do it in your application code.

Same. But I agree with the parent, I always got the vibe it was a giant racket between public schools and TI. Writing code for it was probably cool back in the 80s-90s but it's so dated now.

I mean it's not complete nonsense, but yeah, doing it for security reasons sounds like BS. I actually thought this was going to be about how AI makes it super easy for someone to steal all their code and fold it into their own compet

I'm sorry but I'm having a really hard time understanding what you're saying. The first sentence I cannot understand at all. As for the second sentence, I think you might be confused about my usage of the term "Alphabet

So in that case, the system has access to the plaintext, therefore the Alphabet boys have access to it as well. Unless, of course, you believe Apple isn't cooperating with them. Am I missing something here? Maybe I'm missing a sub

I'm confused. You mean the iOS system notification would display the decrypted message in plaintext? Or do you mean the iOS system notification would display the encrypted message (i.e. it would be unreadable)?

Gotcha thanks for that info. Yeah that's insane. You have to read the description of a YouTube video to understand what a project on Github is doing. There is no architecture here.

This is definitely not worth using. It doesn't even say what hypervisor its using. Is it using QEMU? Docker? Podman? Lima? Colima? And also this chart is super weird: Solution Latency HiDPI Native Integration Setup Complexi

And with the R&D that went into the Steam Frame, the difference between x64 and arm64 is becoming negligible. You can target x64 Windows and can reasonably expect it to run on Android via Winlator.

If it wasn't for NeXT and Valve we would still be in the dark ages. Linux sucked for gaming until Valve poured all that money into Wine. I started with Windows 98. Didn't experience OSX until 2010. 9 years wasted.

Windows was so bad that it made the web bad. Imagine the world we'd be in today if Internet Explorer never existed.

The people glazing these tools can't design systems. I have this founder friend who I've known for decades, he knows how to code but he isn't really interested in it; he's more interested in the business side and mostly

Similar experience. I use these AI tools on a daily basis. I have tons of examples like yours. In one recent instance I explicitly told it in the prompt to not use memcpy, and it used memcpy anyway, and generated a 30-line diff after thinki

I unironically want this service to exist. The GNU GPL "is a tumor on the programming community, in that not only is it completely braindead, but the people who use it go on to infect other people who can't think for themselves.&q

When I hit that part I was like.... you don't enjoy the work. It has nothing to do with AI. One way or another you're gonna get smoked by the ones who actually like doing this stuff. There's good money in the fitness industry

I agree they're right to be scared. The culture has regressed. When I was a teenager / in my early 20s I didn't really believe that was possible, and I thought the older folks were just bitter. But now that I'm older and
