Reflog is a log of refs. If you don’t make commits then then nothing is added to the ref log.

I don’t know why the title rounded to a 500,000, the real number from the article is 200,000. Still though, 10% is a lot.

The global maxima is high transmission and high duration, not necessarily low morbidity. A virus that makes you contagious for two weeks and then kills you is just as transmissible as a virus that makes you contagious for two weeks and then

There are loads of smart people advocating for alternatives to animal testing. Easy example from Johns Hopkins: the center for alternatives to animal testing https://caat.jhsph.edu/

Also sad and often unnecessary, but at least there’s usually some legitimate science instead of whatever this is.

> Burglaries are violent crimes. How is it protecting lives to allow violent crime to happen? Depends where you live. In the US robbery is a violent crime, but burglary is generally considered a non-violent property crime.

+1 A few months ago I purchased a barbell and some bumper plates, and I’ve been doing ~3 workouts per week pretty consistently. Can’t recommend it enough.

Nope, I’m using Chrome / Firefox and it’s a common enough problem that Atlassian sluggishness has been a running joke on multiple teams I’ve been on. Maybe I should measure it and post somewhere, I thought it was a well-known problem b

I use merge commits as the “clean” history and non-merge commits as the “true” history. Are there problems that this approach doesn’t solve? My only gripe is that apps like GitHub don’t give me the option to display commits how I want, but
