The U.S. government has had the ability to seize property for quite a while. The earliest I recall it happening is with drug related crimes. These laws were passed in the '80s allowing officers to seize not just drugs, but all your proper

Megacorps like Walmart and EA would never order 50,000 kiosks to be built knowing that Apple (or U.S. gov) could get a court injunction within hours of them being deployed. This is the very nature of rackeeting (in this case the gov being t

Perhaps you'd be happy with a Palm Pre: hotspot..check (and free with Verizon)...possibly world's finest notification system...check. I had an iPhone for a year and now have used a Palm Pre for a year. I just bought my son an iPod Touch an

My son just received an iPod Touch for his 6th birthday. Problem solved!! He can do whatever he wants with it and sync it to our family iMac using his own account. All I need do is be a bit careful about handing the 'iTouch' back to him

Apple's single app store can only exist in the economic distortion created by U.S. government regulation which provide severe penalties for unlocking an iOS device. If it were not for these regulations, we would see kiosks in Wal-Mart spons

Apple's 30% is a tax on the consumer, not the app publisher. The tax is always on the person whose wallet was opened. Apple and the publisher are beneficiaries. The publisher will make money off these sales or not stay in business. Its

The article talks about the plaintiff being asked for their zip code, but not ID. I don't see in the article or in the snippets of law it references where proof of ID is unlawful. Perhaps its perfectly fine to ask for proof of id to authe

In many places, there are only 1, sometimes 2 choices for internet. If AT&T or Charter (my 2 choices) wanted to make it hard or more expensive for me to receive Netflix, there would be little as a consumer I could.
