I'm no expert or anything, but I think studies saying that volcanic eruptions not being a driver of climate change is based off of co2 release, not high altitude particulate. edit: Meaning normal volcanic activity (in a modern context)

I was about to respond with something similar. Sometimes profanity is the most effective way to express yourself in the face of complete absurdity.

I feel bad for Pao on a personal level, but I feel like she is too divisive to be an effective leader of a site like reddit. All people deserve respect though and should not have to put up with hateful personal attacks. I think mainly this

So if I am understanding correctly, this could compete with services like s3 and ec2. People can earn money by attaching their machines to the network (but they have to include a security deposit). Then they will collect fees from users for

Besides just actually running software, I also find it really neat when projects use docker to build their entire application. It provides an effective means of documenting all of your dependencies and making reproducible builds. Take the d

Good points. I've just been too lazy to encrypt the directory myself. Running a separate vm is an interesting idea that I had not thought of.

It may not be as polished as some of the other options out there, but it is what I use. I am mostly happy with it. I just wish there was a built in way to encrypt the folder structure to hide what sites I have credentials for.
