The people involved with bitcoin are (mostly) tech-savvy, I don't think they are going to have much success.

This is most valid, data should be centralized, not distributed and not in the hands of facebook. Imagine that there would exist a website that contains all your personal data with 1 password, websites request access to a part of that data

It's overwriting existing keys, which is fine imo. When I use a map in any language and put a new value with a new key, expected behavior is that the previous key is overwritten.

It is a 'hack' as discussed in the article and I will probably never use it. JSON should be either self explanatory or documented, I don't see any reason why you would add this unnecessary clutter to these messages. It is alr

This is a whole other thing, this is a single users password, I think in the article they are talking about every user's password, correct me if I'm wrong. And even then, a password should be encrypted. If there is a court order t

Is this real? This sounds a lot like fiction, all these things happening, the shady deliverer, the globes, the dog/hjob thing, crawling out of the window when feeling haunted, finding his boss jking off and giving him his freepass. Any

Nobody has ever liked the swing GUI's, everyone with a little bit of taste disliked it, were constantly looking to change their theme and it was really aweful for a developer to create a decent user interface with.

They send out a signal saying that they want to change, that takes some guts to do so for such a big company. I'm just curious about what actions will follow these words without any prejudice.

That article from codinghorror is absolutely brilliantly written. But it's true, I wish there was a counter somewhere about how many millions/billions were lost by web developers trying to make things look like a webpage inside IE

There is one part of this that I agree with, that is the part where you say that if you delete all items one by one (why don't they have a delete all?) you want them never to be visible for anyone again. The part I don't agree wit

This can be true, but Facebook is also used as a tool for people to measure how good they are doing in life to one another. Last weekend a friend of mine started talking about how ugly a specific kid was, then went on Facebook to look up a

The point Paul Graham (and the 10x hustler article) made was that if you are good, you could be 10 times more productive. Not because you type 10 times faster or develop the same code 10 times faster than somebody else, it is because none o
