I loved my Satellite Pro 4600 - circa 2001-2003. But then I was finally able to afford the ThinkPad of my dreams (a maxed out T42p).

Dynamic DNS has been a thing for ages and it is trivial to PAT on most any firewall you may have hooked up to a modem in bridge mode.

I have to append 'reddit' to a lot of queries now to find relevant information it seems. I was researching standing desks recently and was having a hard time getting through the cruft with regular google searches.

The idea of someone swiping it and literally walking off with your company in their pocket is a bit funny.

Ctrl+p will let you search nicely for files in vscode. At least the VI integration is better than the extension I use with Visual Studio.

Samesy.I almost used dynamic last week for maybe the first time ever, but ended up with a simple generic class instead.

It's weird - I don't think I remember ever seeing corp.com as an example from Microsoft - they usually used contoso.com or microsoft.com. I do remember reading books that used corp.com however, but they weren't printed by Mic

I too am liking RxJS more and more, especially for simple state. I gave up on learning React a few years ago because Redux was just too bonkers.

It's pretty easy with authentication cookies and csrf tokens. I switched back to sessions too after messing around with jwts for a bit.

I have bad tinnitus in both ears and doing the trick works for me, for about 60 seconds. I don't do it often because it makes me sad how much better that 60 seconds feels.

My 5520 has been flawless and is also just over 2 years old. I have the 1080p matte screen though. Only other laptop I had that has come as close to nirvana as the 5520 was a Thinkpad T42 and 2012 mbp 15.

I learned Vue first because I didn't want to have to learn a reactive framework and Typescript at the same time. I've made several 'complete' apps with Vue / ES6 and .Net Core. For a new job possibility I have now b
