Looks fancy. Is this what the market wants? I don't particularly like Apple, but I use a Macbook Pro. I've been keeping an eye out for a non-Apple alternative to a Macbook, but nothing seems to come close in terms of hardware. I d

My understanding is that Google have a policy against sites doing that. Does Google not enforce the policy sufficiently, or are there exceptions made?

The backlash they ought to be worried about is the one from their customers when it refuses to operate due to an ongoing battle between opposing groups of extremists.

Shouldn't they be able to detect your preferred behaviour and put that on the homepage? They seem to be focused so much on creating magical AI that they're missing some fundamental easy stuff.

I had some fun making this over the past few hours: https://tocktimer.com It's a bit rough around the edges still, but I'll try to improve it a bunch over the next few days, especially so if Google are not bringing bac

Have you tried creating it in multiple steps, using the "Edit" button? You can erase the parts of the image you want to change, and you can even change the prompt at each step. If the pig or donkey doesn't look right, you cou

I decided to try Stadia just now. Their games page has lots of games saying "try for free X minutes", so I tried picking one. Selected the Google account to use, and then I get a 403. Tried a different game with a different Google

Exactly this. How could Google even expect any of their services to be successful now, besides by attracting sufficiently gullible customers?

It's not that difficult of a loop to break. They simply need to decide: no more shut downs for the next 10 years. After that, they need to think very carefully before starting anything new, and if they do, commit to it.

Good to know the S22 Ultra has a decent fingerprint reader. Note that S10 is totally different than S10e when it comes to the fingerprint reader, though. On the S10e, the power button is the fingerprint reader. The position is perfect. Cont

I agree & didn't mean to imply otherwise. They should focus on making their system (including appeals via the official channels) work properly rather than doing support via HN.

Interesting. This looks like Custom Search Engines evolved into this? I can't tell whether this is a neglected Google product that they were going to refresh but lost interest in, or something that is undergoing a breath of fresh air.
