It's interesting that they only had a time-limited license to the music. I haven't played the game, but can any music be unique enough to justify its use with such undesirable licensing terms?

If Apple are giving sweetheart deals to anyone, Disney is almost certainly not paying 30% at the moment.

Also, Epic claim they were not willing to accept a deal that was just for them.

This case isn't about whether kids use keyboards or not. It's about whether they use Chromebooks.

One way to handle complexity is to punt on it. I think that's the right call. You don't want the website itself to handle the complexity. It makes much more sense for the browser to handle it.

Reminds me a little of Stuxnet, which certainly happened: https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-most-sophisticated-piece-o... Things like this combined with AI are the scariest version of the future, I think. If we ask a very c

For better or worse, autonomous weapons seem to be more practical, and something like this would be a pretty big deterrent against having nuclear weapons in the first place.

Apple should've called this a dev kit to save face, hedge bets, explain the price tag, and most accurately represent what this is. It clearly does not belong in prime position on apple.com yet.

Interesting. I didn't realize that 737 MAX started after Dreamliner. That would seem to be a possible explanation.

I've found it to be the opposite of that. More legroom on economy. Perhaps narrower, though?

I love flying on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It is the most comfortable plane I've flown on in terms of how the air quality feels, and it has had 0 hull losses & 0 fatalities; almost as good a safety record as you could hope for as

Brother. I got a Laser Brother multifunction center recently and whilst it wasn't the absolute cheapest option, it seems you get what you pay for. I could connect it to wifi on first attempt, and everything just worked on first attempt

It doesn't matter who agrees Google is delivering less relevant results until someone is delivering significantly more relevant results. As of now, that does not yet exist. It should only be a matter of time, but the only safe assumpti

It shouldn't make you drive differently, but in the real world human drivers do drive in unsafe ways, so a cue might help. Might also be ignored or not understood, of course.

I think they have repurposed the URL, though. Best I can tell, it's now meant to be a page where people can go to see AI projects (not necessarily by Google) that are being hosted using Google's infrastructure.

Getting commercial robotaxis working in even just one city is an amazing achievement. It's important to note that Uber currently operates in more than 10,000 cities, though. Even if Waymo were to launch one new city each week, it would

Permission is controlled by the browser. If you go into your browser settings, there will be something for controlling which websites have which permissions.

I'm thinking about adding a "Save as txt" button, but this is really intended more like a post-it note in your browser tabs. For long-term persistence something synced is probably a better choice.

Having the note text in the URL can be good in some cases. Storing the note as a bookmark becomes possible, as does storing a note in a URL shortening service. Opening a fork of a note from a different device also becomes possible this way.
