No, we don't. The country got along fine with half the current population, and half of that, and half of that. There's no reason to think there's anything magical about the current population value. Progressives need to offer

Well, yeah. Strategic tariffs can serve a positive function. Spraying them randomly does not. I'm not even convinced that lowering our trade deficit with China is necessarily beneficial. But we have lowered our overall trade deficit, a

Complete, no. But the combination of the expansive powers given to him by the court, and the difficulties of burden of proof, means that it's hard to imagine him being successfully prosecuted for just about anything. I think that inclu

That is deeply impressive. The code is quite readable. I appreciate that it even got the "joke" with bagpipers. I know it's just recycling other people's jokes, but it's still quite the feat. I have never used one o

You can't write React without Javascript. Even the most basic React demos require you to write JS, if only to increment a counter. Perhaps they don't really "know" the entire monstrosity of Javascript, but that's a

If they are accused of crimes, then arresting people is not just a power but a mandate. If they just so happen to be his political enemies, that does not make them exempt. If he happens to be dumb enough to say "Arrest Chuck Schumer wi

There can be more than one Evil One. Putin is responsible for an utterly unjustified war against Ukraine, committing atrocity after atrocity. Just because our own President is also guilty of war crimes (as well as domestic ones), it doesn

Setting aside the legality of this, is it even possible for credit card companies to work with rates capped like that? I'm sure the credit card companies are plenty profitable right now and could probably afford some kind of cut. Just

I could imagine a world where LLM coding was fun. It would sound like "imagine a game, like Galaxians but using tractor trailers, and as a first person shooter." And it pumps out a draft and you say, "No, let's try it ag

The article says that deaths peaked in mid 2023. Narcan was approved for over the counter use in March 2023. That suggests a plausible alternative cause.

Here in 2026 China is supplying Russia with weapons in exchange for oil under global sanctions. Russia is in no position to reject China for selling to both sides. They may not be allies but each is the enemy of their enemies.

The problem is that much of it wasn't illegal. Some was, but some was just spy agencies doing spy agency things. The laws draw some pretty fine distinctions that are at odds with what you expect. Perhaps it's worth it to have expo
